...from maternity leave. Let me tell you, this pregnancy has not been easy but definitely worth it. I've enjoyed spending time with my sweet Ely Bean, sleeping in, and getting to know her. It's time to get back to work, however, because I can't remember the last time I interacted with humans who haven't seen me naked! So, I'm back at Hess (come and visit me in IB!) and I'm ready to hit the ground running with photography.

First thing I had to cross off my list: NEWBORN PHOTOS! Since I didn't get a chance to take maternity photos, I was determined to get some good newborn photos of my little babe in our home studio.

Friends, meet Elena Marie.

Impressed much? Me too, because I am NOT a newborn photographer. Newborn photography is definitely a different ball game-- It takes a lot of time, tenderness, and PATIENCE to capture that innocent beauty. Elena was a great model but I almost had to fire myself as the photographer! As you can see, it went well, eventually... Honestly, I couldn't have done it without my little Lucy Bear (aka Big Sister) and my husband, Julz-- He has a whole lotta faith in me and patience to spare! Gratefully, I earned a whole lot of patience and a heartul of beautiful photos!

I'm down to take on another newborn session sometime! What do you think?
